Time to start packing

This Wednesday I leave for Italy: time to start planning and packing my vacation knitting!

Among my WIPs, coming with me:

White Sparkling Shrug
Yarrow Ribber Socks
Purple Charlotte
Sahara
Sugar Maple Shawl (my oldest WIP: will I finish it this summer?)

But I definitely need some socks (only one second sock does not cut!) Possible candidates:

Oak Ribbed Sock in Løve Garn Baby og Hosegarn
Jaywalker in Schachenmayr nomotta Regia Canadian Color - it is time for another Jaywalker?
Gentleman's Fancy Sock in Plymouth Yarn Sockin' Sox

I realized that I have not made a plan for this, but I had a 2008 plan to try and reduce contain manage my stash that I carried over to 2009:

Scary thing is, I can go until Dec 2010 with one yarn per month and I am only half way through my stash!

June Shawl

The pattern (a pdf file) is available for download on Ravelry or here.

How is it possible that in 3 minutes it has been queued 7 times and favorited 10 times?

Cleansing

If you are on Ravelry, you may already know that I am going through a cleansing phase - after all who has time for Spring cleaning in the Spring? In that spirit, last night I decided that I was going to use up all my Cascade 220 leftovers, so here is what I have this morning:

Oven Sets
Pattern: Tropical Stripes Oven Set by Kathleen Taylor
Yarn: Cascade 220 and Brown Sheep Nature Spun Worsted.
Ravelry project page here.

I think that for oven mittens and potholders I am set for a while.

July 1st

And half of 2009 is gone, better pay attention because before you know it will be 2010.

Summer Cardi

My Summer Cardi is progressing and I even found the perfect bottoms (sorry, no pic.) But being July, and with the White Sparkling Shrug on hold waiting for more yarn, I felt compelled to start sweater #7. Or actually, re-start because I casted on again for Sahara. Will see how it goes this time.
