Ravelry is great, reason #1001

The stash tab automatically calculates how balls of yarn you have left:

How did we knit before Ravelry? It's kind of like trying to remember life before Google.

It's a beautiful day

And I do not have my camera so I can't take pictures of all the knits I intended to show you. Waiting for a sunny day, and then, of course, I forgot my camera.

So, if I had my camera, I would have shown photos of a long list of FOs: the log-cabin blanket [Ravelry link], the blue sweater [Ravelry link], the pinwheel sweater [Ravelry link], my handspun scarf [Ravelry link], the sock yarn shawl [Ravelry link], a hanging towel [Ravelry link] from the new Mason-Dixon book, and an I-cord blue hat [Ravelry link].

Well, next time.

It is the day before the election I do not get to vote in

"One theme is both familiar and clear: religion - in particular fundamentalist religion - makes you stupid."

Brilliant.

NaKniSweMo

I am usually 2 months behind in listening to my favorite podcasts, but I am all caught up with Stash and Burn. That means that I learned about NaKniSweMo [Ravelry link to the group] before it ended (like, for example, Socktoberfest?)
Given that it is finally fall around here (it rains!) I could use a sweater so I will finish this:

Everything But the Kitchen Sink
Pattern: Everything but the Kitchen Sink by Lisa Shobhana Mason
Yarn: Karabella Aurora 8

and I will finally make Cherie Amour by Ashley Adams Moncrief - I even have the yarn!

Sound like a plan? Yes, so I casted for a scarf:
