the poncho ....

I am modifying the poncho pattern - kind of by mistake because I hate following instructions. so this is what I am doing.

I am using one color, Red Heart® Baby Pompadour multicolor, needles #6, to fit 3-5 years old.

I casted 157 sts as instructed and then:

start:
1st row - K78 , sl1, K2tog, psso, K to end
I have 155 sts now
2nd row- purl
3rd row- K77 sl1, K2tog, psso, Kto end
I have 153 sts now
4th row - purl
5th row- K76 , sl1, K2tog, psso, Kto end
I have 151 sts now
6th row - purl

sequence 1:
1st and 2nd rows - knit.
3rd row - P1, *yrn, p2tog, rep from * to end.
4th row - knit
5th row - K75 , sl1, K2tog, psso, K to end
I have 149 sts now
2nd row- purl
3rd row- K74 sl1, K2tog, psso, Kto end
I have 147 sts now
4th row - purl
5th row- K73 , sl1, K2tog, psso, Kto end
I have 145 sts now
6th row - purl
7th and 9th rows - knit
8th and 10th rows - purl
11th row - K72 , sl1, K2tog, psso, K to end
I have 143 sts now
12nd row- purl
13rd row- K71 sl1, K2tog, psso, Kto end
I have 141 sts now
14th row - purl
15th row- K70 , sl1, K2tog, psso, Kto end
I have 139 sts now
16th row - purl

repeat sequence 1 three times, that means decreasing 12x3 sts, I have 115 sts now.

sequence 2:
1st and 2nd rows - knit.
3rd row - P1, *yrn, p2tog, rep from * to end.
4th row - knit
5th row - K56 , sl2, K3tog, psso, K to end
I have 111 sts now
2nd row- purl
3rd row- K54 sl2, K3tog, psso, Kto end
I have 107 sts now
4th row - purl
5th row- K52 , sl2, K3tog, psso, Kto end
I have 103 sts now
6th row - purl
7th and 9th rows - knit
8th and 10th rows - purl
11th row - K50 , sl2, K3tog, psso, K to end
I have 99 sts now
12nd row- purl
13rd row- K48 sl2, K3tog, psso, Kto end
I have 95 sts now
14th row - purl
15th row- K46 , sl2, K3tog, psso, Kto end
I have 91 sts now
16th row - purl

do sequence 2 one time and then again until row 10th - I have 67 sts now.

Change to needles #3
Next row - K31, st K2 together through back of loop, K1, K2tog, K to end.
I have 59 sts now
Rep last row 5 times more
Next row - K.
Cast off.
